Prepare for your AS9100 audit with your documents

How does it work?
Your documents speak, not questionnaires
You do not fill in long question lists. You upload the documents you already have; the assessment looks at their content, revision and approval information and record dates. Documents are read on your device, the assessment runs on the server (internet required). The result is always an assessment and a suggestion; the final judgement is yours.
Business model (own product and design, build-to-print, special process service), purpose of preparation (initial certification, surveillance, recertification), special processes, product type, existing documents, number of employees and customers. Design topics are not assessed for a company that does no design.
Add procedures, instructions, certificates, calibration and records (multiple files). From the camera and photos on the phone, from PDF, Word (.docx), .txt and .csv files on the computer; the text is read on your device. After the assessment you see whether each document carries revision and approval information. Scanned documents and photos are currently read on the phone only.
The text of the documents is assessed topic by topic on our server; section percentages and the topics that need improvement are on your screen quickly. An internet connection is required for the assessment.

If you wish, select your record and send it for expert review with a short note; the documents uploaded to the record are attached to the request automatically, and our process quality engineer with AS9100 audit experience writes a detailed opinion.
What is assessed?
Readiness percentage in seven sections
Overall percentage and level, a separate bar for each of the seven sections, and in each section the names of the topics that need improvement (up to five, the rest as a count). The score drops when a document is missing, has no revision or approval, or the record date is old; a mere mention of a keyword earns no points. A document-based result is at most 80%; the rest is completed through on-site verification and expert review. If one of the core topics cannot be found at all, the overall result is capped at 70%.

The report is created and kept on your device; if you wish, you can upload it to your company's ERP area with "Export to ERP" or attach it to an expert assessment request. If your company enables the optional AI assistant in the ERP, a summary of the relevant records is sent to a US-based AI service to answer your question; it is off by default. If you enable the optional AI helper, the report and document text, and when you ask for a "Second opinion" in a photo review only that photo, are sent to a US-based AI service to generate the answer; it is off by default and can be turned off at any time.
Expert assessment
The app makes the pre-assessment, our experts go deeper
Attach your documents, company profile and section results to an "Expert assessment" request. Our process quality engineer with AS9100 audit experience reviews your package and writes opinions and suggestions topic by topic; the answer arrives inside the app and the bell icon notifies you.

The documents uploaded to the record and the files you attach (10 in total at most), company profile, overall and section percentages, your note. No document file reaches us unless you send it; during the assessment only the document text goes to the server and it is not stored.
Our process quality engineer with AS9100 audit experience. Confidentiality: within NTB SpecPro the package is seen only by the reviewing engineer and is not shared with third parties. On a company subscription, the request also appears in the My Questions list of your company's own users.

On phone and computer
Phone on the shop floor, computer in the office; one account
You work on the phone and the computer with the same account. Assessment records are kept on the device where they were created; they are not synced between phone and computer. Use the phone for scanned documents and photos, the computer for PDF and Word files. The desktop version needs no installation and opens in the browser.
You sign in to the app and the desktop version with your ntbspecpro.com account; on a company subscription your administrator adds the users.
The account is linked to one phone; on the computer a single session stays open at a time. On a new computer you are asked for the 6-digit code sent to your e-mail.

Data confidentiality
Your documents stay on your device; only text goes to the server
Documents of aerospace suppliers often cannot leave the company. In this module the document images and files stay on your device; only the document text, document name and company profile selections are sent to our server for the assessment; they are processed only during the assessment and are not written to a database, file or log. Document texts and original files are kept on your device together with the record so they can be attached to an expert assessment; they are deleted when you delete the record.
- ✓Document files and photos stay on your phone or computer; they are not uploaded to the server (unless you attach them to an expert assessment request or the ERP yourself)
- ✓Text is extracted on your device; the text sent to the server is processed for the assessment, not stored and not logged. If you switch on the optional AI helper, report and document text is also sent to our AI service provider (USA); see the Privacy Policy.
- ✓The server runs on Google Cloud (EU – Belgium); account and subscription infrastructure is Google Firebase
- ✓Documents reach us only if you attach them to an "Expert assessment" request and send it; even then only the reviewing engineer sees them
