Quality requirements for welded fabrication: ISO 3834 preparation
Choose your target level (ISO 3834-2, -3 or -4) and your welding processes, upload your welding quality documents; the app shows your readiness percentage in seven sections, the document and date checks, and the points that need improvement.
How does it work?
Your documents speak, not questions
You do not fill in long question lists. You upload the documents you already have; the evaluation looks at their content, their revision and approval details and the record dates. Documents are read on your device, the evaluation runs on the server (internet required). The result is always an evaluation and a suggestion; the final judgement is yours.
Target level (-2 comprehensive, -3 standard, -4 elementary), welding processes (ISO 4063), material groups, sector, use of heat treatment / NDT / subcontractors, welding coordinator (IWE / IWT / IWS) and number of welders. The scope is set by the level and by the heat treatment and subcontractor choices; process and material details go into the report and the expert review.
Add procedures, instructions, certificates, calibration records and other records (multiple files). On the phone from the camera and photos, on the computer from PDF, Word (.docx), .txt and .csv files; the text is read on your device. After the evaluation you can see whether each document carries revision and approval details. Scanned documents and photos are currently read on the phone only.
The text of your documents is evaluated topic by topic on our server; section percentages and the points that need improvement appear on your screen quickly. An internet connection is required for the evaluation.

If you wish, select your record and send it for expert review with a short note; the documents uploaded to the record are attached to the request automatically, and our welding engineer holding the IWE qualification, with ISO 3834 and welding coordination experience, writes a detailed opinion.
What is evaluated?
Readiness percentage in seven sections
Section percentages (each section up to 100%), overall readiness and the three levels. There is also a "Document and date checks" card: welder qualification validity (from the ISO 9606-1 test and confirmation dates), number of WPS and WPQR and WPSs with no WPQR uploaded, EN 10204 consumable certificates, coordinator appointment, validity of calibration and NDT personnel certificates, eye examination, and whether the internal audit and management review were carried out within the last 12 months. Expired documents and overdue calibration lower the score. The document-based overall result is capped at 80%; the rest is completed through on-site verification and expert review. If one of the main topics cannot be found, a section is below 50% or there are serious problems in the welding documents (expired or unverifiable welder qualification, WPS without WPQR, no WPS or consumable certificate, no WPQR or coordinator appointment for -2/-3, overdue record), the overall result is capped at 70%.

75% and above (a 75–80% range, since the document-based result is capped at 80%): documents are largely ready, the remaining points are listed
Between 50% and 75% (orange): some documents are missing or out of date; the points that need improvement are listed
Below 50%: basic documents are missing; these must be completed first

The report is created and kept on your device; if you wish, upload it to your company's ERP area with "Export to ERP" or attach it to an expert review request. If your company enables the optional AI assistant in the ERP, a summary of the relevant records is sent to a US-based AI service to answer your questions; it is off by default. If you enable the optional AI helper, the report and document text, and only that photo when you ask for a "Second opinion" in a photo-based inspection, are sent to a US-based AI service to generate the answer; it is off by default and can be turned off at any time.
Expert review
The app does the pre-assessment, our experts go deeper
Attach your documents, company profile and section results to an "Expert review" request. Our welding engineer holding the IWE qualification, with ISO 3834 and welding coordination experience, reviews your package and writes opinions and suggestions topic by topic; the answer arrives inside the app and the bell icon notifies you.

The documents uploaded to the record and the files you add (10 in total at most), the company profile, overall and section percentages, and your note. No document file reaches us unless you send it; during the evaluation only the document text goes to the server, and it is not stored.

Under a company subscription the request also appears in the My Questions list of your company's own users.

On phone and computer
Phone in the workshop, computer in the office; one account
You work on the phone and the computer with the same account. Evaluation records are kept on the device where they were created; they are not synchronised between phone and computer. Use the phone for scanned documents and photos, and the computer for PDF and Word files. The desktop version needs no installation; it opens in the browser.
You sign in to the app and the desktop version with your ntbspecpro.com account; under a company subscription your administrator adds the users.
The account is linked to one phone; on the computer only one session stays open at a time. On a new computer you are asked for the 6-digit code sent to your e-mail.

Data confidentiality
Your documents stay on your device; only text goes to the server
Documents of aerospace and industrial suppliers often may not leave the company. In this module the document images and files stay on your device; only the document text, document name and company profile selections are sent to our server for the evaluation; they are processed only during the evaluation and are not written to a database, file or log. Document texts and the original files are kept on your device together with the record so they can be attached to an expert review; they are deleted when you delete the record.
- ✓Document files and photos stay on your phone or computer; they are not uploaded to the server (unless you attach them to an expert review request or to the ERP yourself)
- ✓Text is extracted on your device; the text sent to the server is processed for the evaluation and is neither stored nor logged. If you switch on the optional AI helper, report and document text is also sent to our AI service provider (USA); see the Privacy Policy.
- ✓The server runs on Google Cloud (EU – Belgium); the account and subscription infrastructure is Google Firebase
- ✓Documents reach us only if you attach them to an "Expert review" request and send it; even then only the reviewing engineer sees them
