Supplying aerospace and industry in the Gulf
Saudi Arabia and the UAE are building local aerospace and industrial supply chains. What quality evidence buyers expect from suppliers: AS9100, Nadcap, special process records.
Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates are moving a growing share of aerospace, energy and industrial manufacturing into the region. Localization is a central goal of Saudi Vision 2030, and both countries are building networks of local and partner suppliers for machining, welding, heat treating, coating and composites. For shops in the region, and for foreign shops that want to supply them, this means new work, and new audits.
What buyers look at first
International primes and their local partners apply the same quality expectations they use elsewhere:
- An AS9100 certified quality system
- Nadcap accreditation, or a credible path to it, for special processes
- Qualified welding and heat treating procedures, with records behind them
- Calibrated furnaces and equipment (AMS2750 for heat treat)
- First Article Inspection to AS9102 before first delivery
Where new suppliers stumble
- Certificates in place, but records that do not prove the process
- Procedures copied from another shop that do not match their own equipment
- Customer requirements that never reach the shop floor
- Personnel qualifications that lapse unnoticed
- Furnace survey and calibration intervals missed during fast growth
Which gaps are in your records?
Knowing the list is easy. The real question is which gaps sit in your own records before a buyer’s audit finds them. They slip past when files are read by eye, and auditors look for them first. Upload your records to NTB SpecPro and see in minutes which points carry risk, why, and what to do next.
NTB SpecPro is a quality app for special-process shops: welding, heat treating, coating, painting, bonding and composites, plus AS9100, Nadcap and ISO 3834 self-assessment. Final evaluation always stays with your authorized personnel.
General information only. Self-assessment does not replace an official audit; NTB SpecPro is not affiliated with PRI.
